  • The Legacy - 1836 was the time of the American Frontier and Davy Crockett. Davy Crockett was an American frontiersman, soldier, and statesman who became a symbol of independence, grit, and the expanding American frontier in the early 19th century. Born in 1786 in what is now Tennessee, Crockett earned national fame as a skilled hunter, storyteller, and militia leader before serving several terms in the U.S. Congress, where he was known for plainspoken honesty and opposition to government overreach, including President Andrew Jackson’s Indian Removal policies. His legacy was cemented in 1836 when he died defending the Alamo during the Texas Revolution, an act that turned him into a national folk hero. Crockett’s life and death helped shape America’s frontier identity—celebrating self-reliance, courage, and a willingness to stand on principle even in the face of overwhelming odds.

They were crucial to frontier settlement, building homes, and educating children. Notably, this period marked the start of the women's suffrage movement in the West, with Wyoming and Utah granting women voting rights.

  • Most belts fall apart when conditions turn. This one is built for it.

It starts with 9–11 oz latigo. Not dress leather, not lightly finished bridle—latigo. It’s packed with oils and tallows all the way through, the same reason it’s used to hold a saddle in place under load. It resists sweat, water, and grime without drying out or cracking.

The build follows the same logic. Stainless steel buckle—no plating to wear off. Chicago screws you can remove and replace in the field. If something fails, you don’t toss the belt. You fix it.

Then there’s the layout. Holes run the length of the strap, not just for sizing but for use. Tie down gear. Lash a load. Improvise when you need to. The belt does more than one job because out there, it has to.

The optional D-ring gives you a fixed point that stays put—something most belts don’t even consider.

This isn’t about refinement. It’s about function under pressure.

Most belts are made to wear.
This one is made to work.
