The Avery Case And Saddle Story
Buy Once. Keep For A Lifetime - Hand It Down.
I’ve always been drawn to the kind of gear you buy once and keep for life—preferably made in the USA.
For me, that means a heavy leather belt fitted with a buckle made by a Native American artist. American-made jeans. A pair of handmade boots that tell your story in every crease and scuff. A custom-made hat that fits you perfectly and becomes a lifelong companion, broken in by sun, rain, and sweat. A Signature cologne. My Ralph Lauren jean jacket that has been with me on so many adventures. A fly rod built by a craftsman who knows water —something you’ll pass down to your kids. And the piece that was missing - a rugged leather bag that I built myself—born to fit my gear—made to go the distance.
That’s the spirit behind every piece we make. These pieces are meant to travel with you. To take the hits, wear the years, and tell your story in the way only well-used leather can.
Real American Leather. Real American Hands.
My passion is creating the highest-quality products with my own two hands—a craft I’ve had the privilege to practice for most of my life. Everything here is made in America by people who still believe in doing things the right way.
We work with heritage-grade, full-grain leather—no fillers, no shortcuts. Every case, belt, and piece of gear is cut, stitched, edged, and finished by hand because that’s the only way to get it right.
You can feel the difference the moment you pick it up. It has weight. Character. A sense of something real.
Made for the Man or Woman Who Gives a Damn
We don’t build for the masses.
The men and women who choose our products don’t buy things to show off—they buy things that work. Things with purpose and integrity. They take pride in American craftsmanship and understand that the best things in life get better with age.
If you believe a belt shouldn’t just hold up your jeans—but should hold up to decades of hard use—you’re in the right place.
Nothing Here Is Disposable
I’ve worked many different jobs over my lifetime, but for most of it I’ve been in business for myself. I started my first company at 22, built on a simple principle: deliver top-quality products and services with no compromise. That belief has stayed with me ever since—and it’s still the standard I work by today.
I started this company for one reason: to build something real with my own two hands. Products meant to outlast me and earn the trust and respect of the men and women who rely on them. Pieces that make a strong first impression when you open the box—but matter even more ten years down the road, after they’ve been used, worn in, and proven.
When you walk into a room, your presence should speak before you do. That presence doesn’t come from chasing trends. It comes from choosing a few meaningful, well-made pieces—heritage items that carry quiet confidence and are built for the road ahead.
Over the years, I’ve learned it’s not about owning more—it’s about owning better. A small collection of trusted companions that serve you well, year after year.
That’s the spirit behind everything we do at Avery Case and Saddle.
Respect is earned. Character shows up before the handshake. First impressions tell the story. Make yours count.
Sure, you could buy cheaper. You could buy faster. But you won’t buy better.
When you choose one of our products, you’re choosing to invest in something you’ll carry every day—and one day, hand down to the next generation. That’s how it ought to be.
Welcome to the way things used to be—and the way they still can be.
Real leather. Honest work. Built for life.
A Few Of My Favorites After Years Of Discovery.
From The JP Ross Website: We design, build specifications, make drawings in CAD, build prototypes, fish prototypes, and then go to market.
To us, it’s a lot different than just taking a blank and gluing some components on it and calling yourself a rod company. We are in business to feed our need to create, and our desire to make people happy.
Our business foundation is based on a model to be world class. We aspire from great companies like Porsche, Rolex, Intel and Canon.
We are doing it right, when we can turn a profit and contribute to our self created conservation effort called Trout Power. Made in New York, Born in the Adirondack Mountains.. you don't have to be the biggest to be the best. Others may imitate, but there is only one JP Ross & Company.
From The Kimber Website…
Kimber was founded with the singular purpose of building fine sporting firearms, better even than classics from the golden age of American gunmaking.
Modern manufacturing techniques would be embraced and used to advantage, but assembly, fit and finish could only depend on practiced hands.
There would be no compromise in features, materials or performance.
From The LeLabo Website…
We believe the future of luxury (hence of perfumery) lies in craftsmanship
We believe in the soulful power of thoughtful hands: hand-picked roses, hand-poured candles, hand-formulated perfumes and handshake agreements
We believe in the passionate souls who work close to us
We believe in Hafiz's take on life : "Act great, dear. Always act great"
We believe New York made us this way, with a dose of Wabi-Sabi and a few lines from Thoreau
We believe we/you should put away our modern tools and take the time to smell the roses along the way
We believe that we are only young once, but we can be immature forever
From The Black Jack Boots Website: Since 1996, we take pride in presenting you the finest, hand-crafted boots in the industry.
Our 100-step bootmaking process begins with the selection of top quality graded leathers and findings available around the world to ensure fit, comfort, and durability.
From The Akubra Website…
For over a century, the Akubra has been more than just a hat—it’s been a trusted companion to those who venture into Australia’s vast and untamed landscapes.
From the sunbaked deserts of the Red Centre to the misty peaks of the Great Dividing Range, the Akubra has shielded explorers, cattlemen, bush poets, and pioneers from the harsh elements, becoming a symbol of resilience, adventure, and the Australian spirit.
From The Randall Made Knives Website: One wrote, "It was a terrible thing at close range. (Your knife) would cut a man's head nearly off with a quick swing... I also used that knife to open cans, cut wood, dress water buffalo... and it stayed sharp. I was offered all kinds of trades, but I wouldn't part with it."
Since that time, Randall Made™ knives have been used extensively by soldiers and Marines, flyers and sailors, generals and infantrymen.
Our customers have also included astronauts, government agents, celebrities, statesmen and royalty. Most importantly to me, there are thousands upon thousands of individuals who choose Randall Knives because they need a superbly crafted knife they can count on in the home and in the field. Or, as is often the case today, they've wanted to have a Randall Made™ knife in their collection.
From The Smith And Rouge Website: We like to refer to our little group as the Committee.
We are a loose band of westerners with many backgrounds, styles, and definitions of what it means to be "western". Some of us rodeo, others climb and fish, skateboard, run rivers, hunt, ski, backpack, farm, ranch, play music, howl at the mountains, and we all love travel and adventure.
We originate from Montana, America and somehow we all ended up making clothes and gear, far from any of our minds growing up. Now it has become a passion.
We are grateful for the opportunity to share our products, love of adventure, and western style with you
From The Wild Hats Website…
WILDHATS is built by artists, by musicians, by rebels, by the ones with a wild streak. But what we share in common is we are all bespoke hat makers. Now this term gets thrown around a lot. “Custom hat maker”. While we agree anyone can make a hat. To make something that’s truly bespoke you have to do something that is severely lacking in the market. Which is to listen. That’s what we specialize in. We listen to what you want, we listen to what you don’t want. Then we act. Pretty simple, and it works for us and you every time. We don’t let our ego get in the way of making you what you are looking for
From One Of My Favorite Movies - Seven Days In Utopia…. "This is the culmination of my life’s experiences working with champions. It has been a priceless view to 'greatness', a vantage point few if any have ever experienced."
